Welcome Baby Zachary!

Our little boy finally arrived on December 12, 2010! :)

He was 9 days overdue when we were admitted to the hospital to be induced. Once we were settled and hooked up the heartbeat monitor, the doctor said that the monitor was having problems picking up his heartbeat at times, and there could possibly be a negative reaction to the induction medicine if his heart is not beating regularly. She gave us our options:

1. Continue with the induction and hope things go well. If his heartrate dropped again, they would rush me un for an Emergency C-Section, where I would have been put under general anaesthesia and Josh would not have been able to be in the delivery room.

2. We could choose an "Elective C-Section", since the doctor didn't think the C-Section was entirely necessary. With this option, I would be awake during the surgery and Josh would be able to be in the room with me.

We decided that the babies health was most important, and chose the "Elective C- Section". At 2:00am on 12/12/10, we were taken back to surgery. It was the scariest thing that I have ever been through in my life. But at 2:43am, the most adorable, healthy and perfect little boy was born at 8 lbs. 7 oz. and 21 inches long! His daddy was even able to cut the umbilical cord!

We absolutely adore this little guy! His brothers are so excited to meet him next week! :)

Zachary.. Come Out, Come Out, Wherever You Are!!!!

Zachary, Your mommy and daddy would like for you to get your little butt out here.. right now.. please!! LoL. :) Not to mention that Joshie and Jacob ask every single night if their baby brother has been born yet. :) They cannot wait to meet him!

Well, I went to my 41 week check up today.. apparently our little Zachary is quite stubborn... (one of us thinks he gets it from his dad, and the other thinks he gets it from his mom.. LoL.) I have been dialated to 1 cm. for the past week. The doctor made us an appointment for Saturday evening, 12/11 to be induced. She also said that he feels big, maybe 9-10 pounds, and not to be surprised if the induction doesn't work and he has to be delivered via c- section 48 hours after the induction due to his size. We're hoping that's not the case. Joshie and Jacob were both born via c-section, but we're hoping that Zachary doesn't have to be.. and that Josh can cut the umbilical cord. :) ..We will see what happens!

Just for fun, here are some pics from when we first found out about our little guy until now:

We had a "Sponge Bob" birthday party for Jacob's 7th birthday. The kids had a blast and were so happy to have the whole family there! They both say that they love having a big family because there are "a lot of people to love them".. which is definately true! :)
